Cyclone Kyant Threat Over , Weakening To Deep Depression

Bhubaneswar: Cyclone Kyant which now lies some 380 kms South East of Gopalpur coast in Odisha is gradually becoming weak and would be converted into a deep depression by Thursday afternoon. It would further weaken to a depression by evening.
With this the threat of Cyclone Kyant is virtually over according to Bhubaneswar Met Dept.
However due to the influence of Cyclone Kyant there have been rains in some coastal areas and the wind speed felt was around 45 to 50 kmph. The sea still remains rough and fishermen are advised not to venture into it till the conditions are normal.
The Odisha govt is likely to resume the holidays of govt employees today which was earlier cancelled due to cyclone threat.
