PM Modi To Inaugurate Jharsuguda Airport On September 22: Jual Oram

Jharsuguda: After an inspection of the newly-built Jharsuguda airport today morning, Union Minister Jual Oram informed in a media interaction that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the State on September 22 to inaugurate the airport.

“Four programmes have been finalized in the Prime Minister’s schedule for September 22. First, he will inaugurate Jharsuguda airport, then he will dedicate the new railway line from Saldega to Jharsuguda. After that he will inaugurate two coal mines that are ready to start operation,” the Minister of Tribal Affairs said.

“He will also visit Talcher to inaugurate the fertilizer plant and all preparations for his visit are in full swing. A public meeting is also being planned for which I would like to request the people to be present in large numbers,” he added.

Odisha: 12 Houses Gutted After Massive Blaze In Dhenkanal Village

Dhenkanal: At least 12 houses were destroyed in the flames of a massive fire that broke out in Asurabandha village under Bhuban police limits here last night. Property and assets worth lakhs of rupees were also destroyed in the fire.

An electric short circuit is being suspected to be the reason behind the blaze, however there has been no confirmation yet.

The incident occurred late in the night when sparks erupted at a resident’s house in the village. The villagers ran out of their houses in fear and informed the fire officials.

Odisha: Couple Killed, Son Critical After Car Rams Into Roadside Tree In Koraput

Koraput: An elderly couple died on spot and their son sustained critical injuries after a car rammed into a tree late last night near Boipariguda area here.

The deceased have been identified as Chaitanya Prasad Mohanty and his wife of Malkangiri.

The incident occurred when the couple along with their son and daughter was on their way to Malkangiri from Puri and the tired driver feel asleep while driving the car. As a result, the car rammed into a roadside tree and the couple died on the spot after the brutal blow.
