Are Only Votes Valuable For PM, Not The Well-Being Of Odisha’s People? : CM Naveen Patnaik | Odisha News

Are Only Votes Valuable For PM, Not The Well-Being Of Odisha’s People CM Naveen Patnaik

Jagatsinghpur: Taking up further his today’s hectic electioneering here in this parliamentary constituency, BJD supremo-cum-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today lambasted that BJP is only interested in the votes of the people of Odisha not in their well-being.

Addressing the public of Ersama-Balikuda assembly constituency, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ridiculed, “Are only the votes of Odisha’s people valuable for BJP, not their well-being? The Prime Minister has visited Odisha 10 times in a month. But he didn’t visit even once in the last five years during the hard times of the people of Odisha, be it flood, cyclone and other natural calamities.”

Going nostalgic, Naveen reminisced, “Ersama visit reminds me of the 1999 Super Cyclone. Whole Odisha had gone devastated. Lots of life and property got damaged. The Super Cyclone was the saddest moment of my life. I had taken a pledge then that not a single life should get eliminated. Hence, I tried my level best. Today, Odisha is an ideal State in the field of disaster management in the entire country. The United Nations has also endorsed us.”

Know All The Allegations Leveled By Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Against Baijayant Panda | Odisha News

Know All The Allegations Leveled By Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Against Baijayant Panda

Bhubaneswar: Since former Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda’s ouster from the Biju Janata Dal, speculations were rife on what happened between him and Odisha Chief Minister-cum-BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik that turned their decade-long association sour. After days of speculation, Naveen Patnaik has finally spilled the beans on what led to the animosity between the two and how it all ended.

In an exclusive interview to news agency ANI, Patnaik said:

1) Kendrapara is very precious to me because it was my father’ s constituency. I was very attached to it, so I gave it to Jay Panda thinking that a young man could do a lot about its development. But, he never bothered. A former Railways Minister once laughed and told me “We are pursuing the development of railways in Kendrapara but your Kendrapara MP is only concerned about railway development to his mining companies.” That shocked me.

2) After 2014, a number of friends of mine from New Delhi rang up very concerned, because they thought I was in bad health. But, my health has always been very good and I told them so. Then, they told me that Baijayant Panda was spreading rumors about my health in New Delhi. This too came as a shock for me.
